OAC provided construction management and constructability review for the construction of two new
libraries in the cities of Snohomish and Monroe, Washington. The new construction replaces the
existing Snohomish Library and was designed to accommodate 130,500 books, cassettes and video
tapes. This facility includes bay window installation along Maple Street as an invitation to
the public to view the interior of the building. Combined, the two libraries accommodate 215,000 books, cassettes, and video tapes. Some architectural features include: carved exterior window-walls; sloped metal roof combined with a built-up system; one-story building with the potential to add a second story; large bay windows to invite the public to view the interior of the building; and, numerous exposed wood columns situated in a park-like setting. |
